John (Jack) Morrison Joins B-K

We are pleased to announce that a new team member is joining us February 1st as an outside sales associate.  Jack Morrison is a 4th generation Oregonian, raised in Southern Oregon and now living in Portland.

He earned his BS in Anthropology (Archeology) at Portland State University and his BA in Music at Southern Oregon University. He has a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems, Portland State University.

Jack has 20 years’ experience as a restaurant cook, professional chef and baker. He was most recently Catering Chef at a Portland catering business and was Prepared Foods Lead and Bakery Production Manager at a Northwest high end grocery market chain.  His extensive skills in food production translate to a working knowledge of our represented gourmet housewares products.

After initial training and product familiarity Jack will be responsible for our business in an assigned Northwest Territory.

Jack and his young daughter live in Portland, Oregon.

WINE TASTING SEMINAR INFORMATION

The most successful dealers have increased their wine glass sales by holding Riedel wine tastings. Now these are available virtually and no longer require an in-person gathering. We are pleased to offer both the traditional gathering style tasting and the new virtual program. Contact Bang-Knudsen for more details on how to improve your wine glass business. By the way, these tastings are an excellent way to work with your local fund-raising groups and charities.

Specifics -

Wine Tastings are an interactive, educational workshop where a Riedel Crystal Brand ambassador will

demonstrate the relationship between glass shape and how it can truly enhance the sensory

experience with wine

  • Tasting lasts about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Minimum suggested attendance - 40 guests

  • Maximum attendance – unlimited

  • A minimum order of 40 tasting kits is required (pre purchased from Crystal of America)

  • All tasting kits must be shipped to one location. We are unable to drop ship kits to individual attendees

  • A list of of widely available wines will be suggested by Riedel which are available in both 750 ml and 375 ml bottles

  • It is the responsibility of the host to distribute tasting kits and confirm the correct wines are being used by the attendees

  • We will offer attendees a unique Riedel Webshop Promo code which will expire two weeks after the tasting. It will offer 25% for attendees on follow up orders from Riedel.
